Omoniyi v. U.B.A (2002)15 NWLR PT706 p240 C.A.

The appellant who ought to have sought and obtained the prior consent of the governor but failed to do so, sought instead to benefit from his own commission after he had fully enjoyed the gains of the transaction between him and the respondent. In the circumstances he was estopped from  denying the existence of a valid Deed of legal Mortgage between himself and the respondent.
